GLIMR Mission Partners
The GLIMR mission involves experts from various institutions with expertise in their various fields of study.
The Principal Investigator (PI) for the GLIMR mission is Dr. Joseph Salisbury. The lead PI institution for GLIMR is the University of New Hampshire (UNH).
The GLIMR project management and systems engineering team is co-located with the PI and the Science Operations Center at the Institute for the Study of Earth, Oceans and Space (UNH-EOS) within UNH’s Morse Hall.
The UNH research contracts and finance office are located within walking distance on the picturesque UNH Durham campus.
The deputy PI, Dr. Antonio Mannino, is from NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) which also provides and operates the science data segment. The PI, DPI and a select group of earth science experts from around the globe including the EPA and NOAA form the GLIMR Science Team.
The GLIMR Instrument flight deliverable design, build and test effort is provided by Raytheon Intelligence & Space (RIS) in El Segundo, California.
The Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) in San Antonio provides the Safety and Mission Assurance (SMA) while a SwRI division at UNH (SwRI-EOS) provides additional systems engineering support.
The GLIMR mission has selected Dr. Ahmed Kamel of Kamel Engineering to lead the Image Navigation and Registration (INR) effort.
