Speaker: Michael Ainslie, Senior Scientist for JASCO Applied Sciences
Abstract: Dr. Ainslie has over 30 years of experience underwater acoustics, with special research interests in sonar performance modeling, the effects of underwater sound on aquatic life, and underwater acoustical terminology. He is a fellow of the Acoustical Society of America and a fellow of the Institute of Acoustics. It is very exciting to have him join us this month to provide a talk entitled,
"Ocean ambient sound from shipping and baleen whales: A multi-decade low-frequency soundscape of the NE Pacific."
